Language Institute Participates in the Commemorative Ceremony Marking the 146th Anniversary of the Passing of Her Majesty Queen Sunanda Kumariratana, the Queen Consort
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, the Language Institute of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr. Kevin Wongleedee, Director of the Language Institute, encouraged and supported its personnel to participate in the merit-making and commemorative ceremony marking the 146th anniversary of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Sunanda Kumariratana, the Queen Consort.
The ceremony was organized to express gratitude for Her Majesty’s immeasurable royal benevolence
and to honor her enduring legacy and contributions to the nation.
On this occasion, university executives, faculty members, staff, students, and alumni participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Royal Cemetery, followed by a merit-making ceremony at the temple sanctuary. The religious observances included Buddhist chanting, the offering of funeral robes (Bangsukun), and the presentation of requisites and offerings to Buddhist monks.
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University remains deeply grateful for Her Majesty’s royal benevolence and is committed to preserving and honoring the legacy of Her Majesty Queen Sunanda Kumariratana, the Queen Consort, for future generations.
The ceremony was held at Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram, Bangkok, Thailand.
